What is Swaffield School Like?

Finding the best Wandsworth primary school to suit your child can be daunting for parents.

The best way to get a true feel of a school is to visit and we recommend coming to one of our school tours.

You are very welcome to visit Swaffield School more than once and we suggest bringing your child so that they can be part of the process.

Looking at Ofsted Ratings and Results is also a key part of parents' decision-making process:

* Take a look at: Our Ofsted page for our June 2025 Ofsted Report

* Visit our Results page for information about how well our children do in results of statutory assessments from Reception to Year 6.
Please remember that there are individual children behind all these numbers and we are very proud of them all.

Visit Swaffield

We run regular school tours, in the Autumn Term, for prospective parents to visit the school.

Parents have the opportunity to meet Ms Hamilton, our Head Teacher, to ask any questions they may have, meet children and teachers and find out what makes Swaffield School an excellent choice for their child's primary school education.

Use the link on the right to book a tour.

If there are no school tour dates listed, please contact Sue Medhurst, our Admissions Officer, by emailing: swaffield@swaffield.wandsworth.sch.uk

Appeals

The Wandsworth Appeals Service is responsible for arranging appeal panels for all of Wandsworth's community primary and secondary schools and some of the borough's academies, voluntary-aided and foundation schools.
How to make an appeal: Visit the council website for details of what to do and the Appeals Timetable: https://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/schools-and-admissions/admissions/school-admissions-appeals/

Wraparound Care At Swaffield

I regularly use the wraparound care, it's a real strength; it's a huge support for working parents as it runs until 6.30pm every day and it's very easy to book.                                                                                                                                                                    Reception - Parent

We realise the importance of offering wrap-around care to parents and are pleased to offer Out of School Care before and after the school day for children at our school.

We have two sessions per day - Sunrise and Sunset - which are available for children aged 3 to 11.

Sunrise is open before school from 7.15am to 9am
Sunset is open after school until 6.30pm

You can book as many or as few sessions as you require and we offer the flexibility of ad-hoc bookings too.
