Where can I go to get support to help keep my child safe online?

Helping Your Child Stay Safe Online

We urge parents and carers visit the UK Safer Internet Centre website which has lots of useful support and resources for parents.

A Parent's Guide To Fortnite - the UK Safer Internet Centre has published a guide about the game Fortnite which gives guidance to parents, looks at what the game is and some of the things to be aware of.

Useful Websites

The NSPCC's Share Aware website gives lots of information about how to help your child stay safe on social networks, apps and games.

You can visit the site by clicking on their logo.

The NSPCC's Net Aware website also has a guide to the social networks that children use.
It helps you stay up-to-date and keep your child safe in today's digital world. On it, you can tap in the name of the network such as Minecraft and gain a real understanding of the content of the network and what children and adults think about it.

Childnet International is a charity works in partnership with others around the world to make the Internet a great and safe place for children to be. They have a number of really useful guides to help parents keep their children safe online. You can read them here:

CEOP  has a website called www.thinkuknow.co.uk which we also recommend.
Part of this website is addressed specifically to parents; once you have had an opportunity to have a look yourself you may wish to visit the site with your child as there is also a specific area for children.
