Starting Nursery in September 2024
Welcome to our new Nursery children and their families.
Starting school is a key moment in life and our aim is to make it as enjoyable an experience as possible for your child and for you.
You should have received all the paperwork and information about joining Swaffield School - please return all completed forms to the School Office as soon as possible. The office is open on Monday 2nd September 2024 and Tuesday 3rd September (both INSET days) and the school is open for the start of term on Wednesday 4th September 2024.

Wraparound Care
Swaffield Out of School Care is run by the school and staffed with members of the Swaffield staff team.

Dates for your Diary
- Drop in coffee mornings
Monday 9th September to Friday 13th September - 9am to 9.30am:
Parents of children starting Swaffield are invited to come along for a coffee/tea in the Cookery Room any morning from Monday 9th September to Friday 13th September - 9am to 9.30am.
The Cookery Room is situated in inside the building next to the Nursery classroom - just ask one of the Nursery team to show you where to go.
It's a great way to meet other parents, ask questions, and get to know Swaffield. - Early Years Welcome Meeting
Wednesday 18th September 2024: 3.45pm in the Bottom Hall.
All Nursery and Reception parents are invited to meet the teachers and phase leader.
- Welcome BBQ
Friday 20th September 2024: 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Please add the date to your diary for our start of year school community BBQ - a great way to get to know other families.
All Swaffield families are invited. It's free to come along and Swaffield PTA will be selling delicious food and drinks for children and their adults.
Start Dates
Children joining Nursery and Reception have staggered start dates so that we can help everyone settle in - you will be given a start day on our admissions correspondence with you.

Our Autumn Term 2024 starts for pupils in Years 1 to 6 on Wednesday 4th September 2024.
