Starting Nursery in September 2025
Welcome to our new Nursery children and their families.
Starting school is a key moment in life and our aim is to make it as enjoyable an experience as possible for your child and for you.
INVITATION
We'd like to invite you and your child to attend the Nursery Starters Stay & Play on Friday 27th June at 9.30am. It will be a great opportunity for you to meet the teacher, Nursery team, other children and their families. We hope you can come along!
At the Stay & Play, we will give you all the admissions paperwork and information about joining Swaffield School - please return all completed forms to the School Office as soon as possible.

Wraparound Care
Swaffield Out of School Care is run by the school and staffed with members of the Swaffield staff team.

Dates for your Diary
- Friday 27th June - New Starters Stay & Play 9.30am to 10.30am
Come along and meet the other new children and their families, as well as the Nursery teacher, Nursery team and spend time in Nursery. - Saturday 28th June - Swaffield Summer Fair
Please join us for this year's summer fair. It will be a fun-filled family event for our Swaffield families and our wider community. It's free to enter and there will be lots of things to do, delicious food and drinks, as well as prizes to win. We hope you can come along! - Drop in coffee mornings
Monday 8th September to Friday 12th September - 9am to 9.30am:
Parents of children starting Swaffield are invited to come along for a coffee/tea in the Cookery Room any morning from Monday 8th September to Friday 12th September - 9am to 9.30am.
The Cookery Room is situated in inside the building next to the Nursery classroom - just ask one of the Nursery team to show you where to go. It's a great way to meet other parents, ask questions, and get to know Swaffield. - Early Years Welcome Meeting
In September, all Nursery and Reception parents will be invited in to meet the teachers and phase leader. The date has not yet been confirmed but please check back soon.
- Welcome BBQ
Friday 19th September 2025: 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Please add the date to your diary for our start of year school community BBQ - a great way to get to know other families. All Swaffield families are invited. It's free to come along and Swaffield PTA will be selling delicious food and drinks for children and their adults.
Start Dates
Children joining Nursery and Reception have staggered start dates so that we can help everyone settle in - you will be given a start day on our admissions correspondence with you.

Our Autumn Term 2025 starts for pupils in Years 1 to 6 on Wednesday 3rd September 2025.
