Fantastic Workshop from St George’s Teddy Bear Hospital Society

During an interesting and practical workshop run by a wonderful team from St George’s Teddy Bear Hospital Society, children from Reception & Year 1 learnt more about how doctors and medical professionals care for us.

The aim of the workshop is to alleviate fear and anxiety about doctors and medical environments. The children brought in their own teddy bears to act as patients, learning about check-ups, injuries, and health.

The workshop included seeing, touching and understanding X-rays; the different parts of the human skeleton, plus some practice bandaging and caring for their poorly teddy bears.

We're sure we have some future medics here!
