It's time to complete your Admissions Paperwork. Packs were given at the Teddy Bear's Picnic and recent tours and you can find the online version here: https://www.swaffield.wandsworth.sch.uk/Reception-September-2025-Admissions-Paperwork/
Please complete and return your completed forms by Thursday 3rd July and remember to bring in your child's proof of identity (passport or birth certificate) and proof of address to the School Office.

SEPTEMBER 2025
We have two inset days at the beginning of September and the school is closed to pupils on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd September. The first day of term for Year 1 to Year 6 is Wednesday 3rd September.
Start Date for your Child
Children joining Reception have staggered start dates so that we can help everyone settle in - you will be given a start day on our correspondence with you.
If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Sue Medhurst, Admissions Officer, in the School Office.
- September drop in coffee mornings - When your child starts in September, we will be running some coffee mornings for Reception parents to meet one another. Please check back here for dates. The coffee mornings will be held in the school library, next to the Reception classroom.
- September Welcome BBQ - We start each academic year with a Welcome BBQ - it's a great way for school community to get together. All Swaffield families are invited and it's free to come along. Swaffield PTA will be selling delicious food and drinks for children and their adults and it will be a great way to meet other families. The date hasn't been finalised yet but it will most likely be Friday 19th September after school.

- Wraparound Care - Swaffield Out of School Care is run by the school and staffed with members of the Swaffield staff team. It is open Monday to Friday in term time from 7.15am to 8.55am for sunrise and 3.25pm to 6.30pm for sunset. - Clubs - take a look at the clubs we're running this summer term to get an idea of the clubs that we offer for children in Reception. These will be changed for September but this information will give you a feel for the range. https://www.swaffield.wandsworth.sch.uk/Parents/Extra-Curricular/
Swaffield School Announces Additional Reception Class for September 2025
Swaffield School is delighted to announce that, in response to the high demand for our Reception places for September 2025, an additional Reception class will be introduced. This means that this September, the school will have a two-form entry Reception year group.
The increase in applications has led to this exciting expansion, ensuring more families are able to secure a place for their children at Swaffield. This development highlights the school’s continued commitment to providing excellent early years education and supporting families in the local community.
Julia Hamilton, Head Teacher, commented:
“I am thrilled that we are able to add a second Reception class this year to meet the growing demand. We know how stressful it can be for parents on the waiting list, and we’ve shared in their concerns. With this expansion, we’re now able to offer more places and welcome additional children as they begin their primary school journey at Swaffield.”
