• Thursday 23 June 2022 125th Anniversary Whole School Photo Our whole school photo on 23rd June 2022 marked the first day of celebrations of our anniversary and will be a milestone in Swaffield's history. What a lovely memory for us all.
• Wednesday 22 June 2022 Year 3 Poetry Winners At The Globe Theatre We were really proud of our Year 3 Performance Poetry winners. Not only did they win a prize in this year's CLPE Clippa Performance Poetry Competition but they were invited to perform on stage at the world-renowned Globe Theatre.
• Tuesday 21 June 2022 125th Anniversary Community Art Project As part of our 125th Anniversary celebrations we were delighted to create a piece of art at the end of Swaffield Road to celebrate our community.
• Wednesday 8 June 2022 Swaffield Sings At Platinum Jubilee We are extremely proud to have been one of the 22 schools chosen to be part of the Platinum Jubilee Kids' Choir that performed at the Platinum Jubilee Pageant in front of Buckingham Palace on Sunday 5th June.
• Tuesday 3 May 2022 Eid Assembly During a special assembly on 28th April, we learned more about Islam and the holy month of Ramadan from some of our pupils and Dr Eman Mansoor. Thank you to the parents from the Wandsworth Town Ahmaddiya Community who arranged the assembly with the help of Ms Crolle. We wish everyone Eid Mubarak.
• Friday 29 April 2022 Outdoor Learning Funding Boost Outdoor Learning is important at Swaffield and we're pleased to announce that our outdoor classroom and garden space is getting a transformation thanks to a recent garden grant.

• Wednesday 20 April 2022 Biodiversity Assembly Thank youto Paradise Cooperativefor your fascinating assembly today. We learned lots about biodiversity and were astonished to hear stag beetle larvae can take up to seven years to hatch! We can't wait for our next outdoor learning sessions with you.
• Wednesday 20 April 2022 Inspired by Nature - First Day of Summer Term It was lovely to welcome everyone back to school today. Our Nursery tree is looking beautiful and is inspiring our Nursery children's art as well their reading and writing.
• Wednesday 16 March 2022 Creative Entrepreneurs In a whole school focus, children from Nursery to Year 6 have enjoyed Enterprise Week in which they have devised products and learned business-related skills includingpricing, production and promotion.
• Friday 11 March 2022 Year 3 Win CLiPPA Performance Poetry Award Massive congratulations to Giulia, Jozef, and Muneef from Year 3 whose fantastic joint performance of "Bright Bursts of Colour" by Matt Goodfellow has earned them a Four Star Winners prize in the CLiPPA Performance Poetry Competition.The winners were chosen from hundreds of video entries from schools from all over the country.
• Friday 4 March 2022 Art Project On Show at Southside Our Year 6 children were excited to take part in this wonderful community art project and we'd love parents and families to take a look at the fantastic work created by children across the borough. • Friday 4 March 2022 Inspiring Critical Thinking For #worldbookday we've been using picture books across school to inspire critical thinking and also have really enjoyed reading for pleasure in our pyjamas.
• Tuesday 1 March 2022 Shrove Tuesday and St David's Day Reception children made delicious pancakes today for Shrove Tuesday and we marked St David's Day with an interesting, special assembly. Best wishes to everyone who is celebrating these today.
• Monday 28 February 2022 Collection for Ukraine We're sure that, like all the staff at school, Swaffield families will be feeling upset and saddened that the situation in Ukraine has turned very grave in the past few days.Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this terrible conflict.
• Thursday 24 February 2022 Celebrating World Book Day 2022 On Thursday 3rd March, we're celebrating reading and books for World Book Day 2022and want everyone to come to school wearing pyjamas!

• Wednesday 9 February 2022 Supporting Children's Mental Health Week We're proud to support #childrensmentalhealthweek. During the week our children are participating in a number of activities, including today's assembly, to increase awareness of, and strategies to support, children’s mental health. • Tuesday 8 February 2022 Safer Internet Day 2022 Today, during @UK_SIC #SaferInternetDay2022 we focussed on respect and relationships online. This supports our ongoing lessons, equipping children with the knowledge to stay safe online.
• Tuesday 1 February 2022 Chinese New Year We've been learning about the Chinese New Year: in assembly, children performed the story behind the Chinese Zodiac and found out about the Year of the Tiger. Those in our after school "Cool Cookery Club" made a delicious stir fry. Happy Chinese New Year to all those who are celebrating!
• Wednesday 26 January 2022 Nursery Maths Nursery children are using the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears to support their maths learning. Using all of their senses to decide what they think of porridge, they then recorded their opinion on a whole class graph.
• Thursday 13 January 2022 Reception Outdoor Learning Our Reception children enjoy their fabulous outdoor space and especially love exploring the garden looking for bugs.
• Thursday 16 December 2021 Seasons Greetings We were very pleased that every child had the opportunity to take part in a seasonal performance this year and that we were able to invite parents and carers in to watch them.

• Thursday 21 October 2021 International Reggae Star Performs at Swaffield As part of ourBlack History Monthcelebrations, we were delighted to welcome local musician and international reggae star, Nu Flowah, to assembly.
• Monday 11 October 2021 Harvest Collection 2021 At harvest time each year, we think about where our food comes from, those who growand produce it, as well as those who sadly go hungry because of family circumstances. This harvest time, we are collecting donations for our local foodbank so that we can help others in our community.

• Friday 14 May 2021 Chicks Hatch In Nursery Nursery were thrilled when ten living eggs arrived in a special incubator on Monday and were excited to learn that they would soon hatch. The children watched and waited and a little later in the week they began to see that a couple had little holes which appeared as the chick inside was ready to come out.
